SmartVista Back-Office generates statements in two modes: periodic, as scheduled in the Statement Cycle under the Customer Contract, and on-demand, whether on customer request or as needed for internal inquiries. On-demand statements can be produced for any range of past dates. Ad-hoc statements can also be requested from a SmartVista Back-Office on-line GUI form or with an HTML query from an external Call Centre or CRM application. Statement production fees can be flexibly configured and applied depending on statement type.

If processed entirely within SmartVista Back-Office, customer statements will be produced as fully formatted, printer ready documents in a range of formats, such as PDF, RTF, HTML, etc. The statement content and layout can be easily customised to meet the bank's standards, including logos, boilerplate text, advertisements, etc.

SmartVista Back-Office on-line Statement Interface also allows producing statements in response to a query from external systems. In this case, the statement can be delivered either as a formatted electronic document or as a flat data file that can be imported and/or formatted by such external system as may be required.

SmartVista Back-Office statements are based on the Persistent Report mechanism.
