Persistent Reports are based on Raw Data database tables that hold items calculated specifically for reporting purposes during the EOD and are updated daily in an incremental way. This ensures consistency of report data, and also minimises that time needed for report generation.

Based on Raw Data, reports may then be generated as formatted documents or data files that can be exported to an external system. For instance, this mechanism may be used, along with the standard interface files, to pass any additional information to the Core Banking System for accounting or other purposes.

Like with Ad-Hoc Reports, Persistent Reports can be created by an operator command or from a GUI form, again subject to the condition that the raw data for the report in question has been already generated
