Limits are set up at multiple levels in SmartVista Back-Office, including all those described in SmartVista Front-End. This is another area where the two SmartVista Processing solution components work in synergy: limits are first set up in the Back-Office, then communicated to the Front-End, which takes care of applying them to on-line authorisation requests, and then communicated back to the Back-Office to update the utilisation counters, apply fees if necessary and generate reports.

As Fees and Rates, Customer Limits are set up in the Back-Office as part of Limit Schemes specified in the particular Contract under which the Card or Account in question has been created.

Master and Agent Institution Limits are set up by authorised users via the SmartVista Back-Office GUI forms.
