The SmartVista Back-Office End of Day (EOD) batch includes processes that are run daily to perform a certain action on all database items that require this action, such as interest or fee accrual, interface file generation, etc. The EOD batch is divided in two parts: Phase I, which includes processes that may be run several times a day, and Phase II, which can be run only once a day and includes the date change.
SmartVista Back-Office does not need a separate Start of Day batch to be run, and all the actions required to open a new business day, such as date change, etc. happen during the EOD Phase II processing. Some of the examples of processes that can make up Phases I and II of the EOD batch are listed in the following paragraphs.
