Once created as a result of Customer Application processing, Customer records are never deleted, even after the person or company in question has ceased their relationship with the Issuer.
Individuals and companies whose applications to become a customer or a cardholder have been rejected also remain in the database, so that any new attempt to submit an application on their behalf can be easily detected as part of application processing. Any amendments to Customer details during the lifetime of the Customer record, such as Name, Addresses, Phone Numbers, etc., for private customers, or Contacts, etc., for corporate customers, will be made using SmartVista Back-Office GUI forms.
