As SmartVista Processing only reflects customer transactions performed with their plastic cards, the single point where all mutual obligations between the bank and the Customer are aggregated is the Core Banking System or Retail Banking System, so the final stage of settling with the customer, even for card-related transactions, involves an update to a customer account in the Core Banking System. Only Ledger Balance changes are included in this process. These postings are included in the outgoing Banking System Interface File.
