Card Personalisation involves printing, embossing, encoding and/or programming the card in accordance with the approved Cardholder Application, including PIN generation and PIN mailer printing.

The SmartVista Back-Office Card Production component has all the necessary software to control this process and direct interfaces to the additional hardware required, such as embossers and PIN mailer printers.

For the personalisation of EMV cards, SmartVista interfaces with Thales security P3 (Personalisation Preparation Process) software.
