To automate the generation and processing of periodic events that will happen during the card or account lifetime — such as interest accrual, fee collection, billing, reissue, limit reset, statement and letter production, etc. — each Card and Account record will carry references to the relevant Cycle Schemes. These Cycle Schemes define the set of cycles that will apply to the card or account.
