SmartVista Processing Solution Overview
Smartvista Front-End supports both of the most widespread ATM application protocols: NDC+ и Diebold 912. All further discussion will apply to both protocols, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The following base set of customer ATM transactions is supported:

  • cash withdrawal;

  • balance inquiry;

  • cash deposit;

  • account transfer;

  • funds transfer to an external account;

  • funds transfer to an external account with dual authorisation.
Each ATM can dispense cash in two currencies at the same time.

The customer will select the account as follows:

  • The ATM scenario will have a screen to select the account type from a customisable list, such as Checking, Savings, Credit, Other;

  • The customer will select the account type;

  • If the customer card is linked to only one account of this type, the transaction will affect this account;

  • If there are more than one customer accounts of this type linked to the card, SmartVista will use the OAR (Open Account Relationship) mechanism to generate a dynamic screen listing all available accounts and send it to the ATM and display to the customer;

  • The customer will select the account and the ATM will generate an OAR Response and pass it to the SmartVista Front-End for further processing.
SmartVista Front-End does not impose system restrictions on the number of supported ATM statuses, scenarios and FIT tables. Because all such information is stored in the SmartVista Front-End database, the data size is only limited by the database capacity.

The following counters are maintained in the database for each ATM:

  • initial number of banknotes in each cassette;

  • number of dispensed banknotes, per cassette;

  • number of rejected banknotes, per cassette;

  • number of cash withdrawal transactions, by currency;

  • number of deposit transactions;

  • number of balance inquiry transactions;

  • number of payment transactions;

  • number of funds transfer transactions;

  • number of receipts printed out;

  • total cash withdrawals amount, by currency;

  • total cash withdrawals, by account type (Checking or Savings);

  • total cash deposits, by account type (Checking or Savings);

Two types of cash withdrawal reversal transactions are supported:

  • full reversal for a completely failed attempt;

  • partial reversal for cases where the customer has received an incomplete amount (only for ATMs using the Diebold protocol).
