BPC and ÍĐ showcase SmartVista at Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center

Press release

March 30, 2007

Moscow, March 26, 2007 – BPC Company, the recognized provider of e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, and HP, an international IT solutions supplier for consumers and businesses, have announced the installation of BPC’s SmartVista Suite on the HP hardware platform to demonstrate a complete payment card processing solution. The software suite was deployed at the Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center, where the best-in-class cutting-edge solutions for financial institutions are presented.

The launch of SmartVista processing solution at the Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center has been a logical step in the long-term cooperation between BPC and HP, aimed at creating and marketing of fault-tolerant, scalable and high-performance solutions for the financial sector based on the SmartVista Suite and the HP hardware platform.

Now those financial institutions, who have already selected HP products as building blocks for their IT infrastructures, can watch the SmartVista Suite in operation on the test stand and consider it for future deployment. In their turn, current SmartVista users, who are interested in increasing their hardware platform performance, can check the reliability and fault-tolerance of the SmartVista solution running on HP new generation servers.

SmartVista is one of pioneer financial technology solutions in Russia adapted to run on HP Intel Itanium 2 servers. In September 2005 benchmark tests at HP Customer Visit Centre in Boblingen, Germany, demonstrated the ability of SmartVista to meet the transaction processing throughput requirements of the most demanding retail banks, while keeping up with their aggressive growth and delivering capacity to accommodate vast increases in transaction volume.

“During our long-term cooperation with HP we have significantly extended SmartVista’s capability to run on various HP server families and have ensured the full integration of our products. We are confident that the SmartVista Suite installation at the Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our solution to a wide range of financial organizations interested in deploying state-of-the-art technology,” said Sergey Krukov, BPC Deputy CEO.

“Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center offers to our customers in every business field a unique opportunity to watch HP solutions in operation. Our banking technology stand represents a selection of the best-in-class partner solutions for the financial sector, which have proven their high reliability and performance in live environments. We trust that our further cooperation with BPC will aid in making our joint solutions a number one choice for many financial institutions”, commented Natalya Svetushkova, Head of Moscow HP High Tech Solution Center.
