James Massey, BPC Banking Technologies MEA General Manager, will take part at Card-EX 2007 conference, 6-8 May, 2007 in Cairo, Egypt. James will make a presentation on Islamic banking.

The presentation will look at the issues and variations in Islamic “credit card” provision and how the BPC SmartVista suite can meet the needs of an Islamic bank and its customers.

The objective of the report is to look at the market conditions that are driving the need for Islamic cards, some of the financial and technical issues in providing Shari’a compliant products, the different schemes available and where they are being implemented, looking at the differences between the Arabian and Asian requirements in Islamic Banking and finally looking at a card management and switching system that can meet these requirements.
