SmartVista to support currency exchange for Wincor Nixdorf cash-in ATMs

BPC Banking Technologies, recognized provider of e-payment solutions for the financial industry, has announced that its flagship SmartVista card processing solution has been extended to support currency exchange for the ProCash 2100xe line of Wincor-Nixdorf ATMs, which supports deposits, and dispensing of banknotes and coins.

The development conducted by BPC, and R&D partner INPAS Company, was aimed at introducing features responsive to global, cross-border requirements like currency exchange transactions. This enhancement is both an efficient online and back-office tool for managing the currency exchange process, including centralized maintenance and updates of currency rates. It also monitors the number of deposited, withdrawn, and available banknotes, thereby helping to plan ATM administration and cash replenishment.

This featured enhancement helps achieve significant cost savings by allowing the use of a single ATM for various types of transactions instead of having a separate machine for cash withdrawals/deposits and another for currency exchange. Now BPC customers can leverage on SmartVista to extend the range of services available to their cardholders at self-service kiosks. It will be a highly attractive offering to both banking and non-banking customers, who are now able to use ATMs even for non-account transactions like currency exchange.

The joint project marks a new milestone in the long-term partnership and cooperation among BPC, Wincor Nixdorf, and INPAS Company in providing extensive self-service solutions for the banking industry.
