SmartVista to offer DenizBank Moscow new opportunities in the sphere of retail finance and payments

BPC Banking Technologies, a recognized provider of card processing and e-payment solutions, will implement its SmartVista suite of software products at the Russian subsidiary of DenizBank to enable it to provide advanced retail and consumer lending services based on payment cards.

As of 2007, DenizBank Moscow, Russian subsidiary of Turkish DenizBank and part of the largest European banking group Dexia, focused on corporate banking services for Russian-Turkish small and medium businesses. This year, the bank has taken a decision to expand into the Russian retail banking market with a set of consumer lending offerings and card products. To win and establish a leading position in this highly competitive sector, the bank has embarked on creating a modern flexible IT infrastructure with a fully functional card processing centre based on BPC's SmartVista Suite of products.

The chosen card processing solution will include SmartVista Front-End for on-line real-time transaction processing and terminal management, and SmartVista Back-Office for card and merchant management, with functional modules for Internet banking and magnetic stripe and chip cards personalization. This high-end SmartVista based processing center will enable DenizBank Moscow to issue Visa and MasterCard branded cards.

This modern solution will allow DenizBank to expand the functionality of its credit card products, including those combined with loyalty programs, and to increase availability of services via all modern delivery channels. Moreover, with the SmartVista module for ATMs and self-service kiosks management, the bank will be able to support a diversified functional range of these devices bringing additional benefits to its customers. This includes full device monitoring and health control as part of the SmartVista solution.

Combining SmartVista's proven flexible impressive features and modern technological open systems approaches, DenizBank Moscow will be able to optimize its business processes, significantly extend the range of retail products, and make the services more convenient for customers, gaining considerable competitive advantages in the retail banking sector.
